Furthermore, the workshop is also part of the BI-BOE Structured Bilateral Cooperation (SBC) program, which has been run since 2019 with the support of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, of the Government of the United Kingdom.

Through this forum, central banks share their experiences in terms of developing payment connectivity and digital finance to support inclusive economic growth.  The 3-day workshop is discussing a range of topics covering the latest issues regarding payment systems and financial digitalisation at the global and regional levels, which includes the latest RTGS innovations and developments, CBDC development in various jurisdictions, exploring the choice of supporting technologies and CBDC from a policy perspective, as well as cross-border payments.

Attending the workshop are Rudi B. Hutabarat, Head of the BI International Department, Owen Jenkins, British Ambassador, Victoria Cleland, Executive Director, BOE, as well as speakers from the BOE, BI and other ASEAN-5 central banks, namely MAS, BOT, BSP, and BNM, with the Reserve Bank of India, BIS Innovation Hub London, and Finmark Trust.
