Bank Indonesia Educational Activities

As part of its commitment to public education, Bank Indonesia proudly presents the program “BINGO: Bank Indonesia Ngobrol dengan Komunitas" (Bank Indonesia Talks with Communities). This program is specifically designed for a wide range of audiences, including educational institutions, government agencies, companies, and community groups seeking to enhance their understanding of Bank Indonesia's roles, functions, responsibilities, and policies.

BINGO allows participants to visit Bank Indonesia's headquarters in person (offline). Through this program, Bank Indonesia is committed to providing an accessible and educational platform for the broader community.

1.BINGO Head Office

Bank Indonesia receives visitors to its Head Office in person or virtually. ​​

Requirements for BINGO Head Office

Number of Parcitipants :

  • Groups of 20-100 visitors (for schools, minimum level is senior high school or equivalent).
  • Visiting Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays 09:00-12:00 WIB. Visits are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Bank Indonesia reserves the right to decline requests if the requested date is fully booked
  • Visit Sessions: Visits are conducted over two sessions.  

    a. Session 1 – Central Banking Topics
    Participants will receive an overview of:

    1. The roles and functions of the central bank
    2. The history of Bank Indonesia
    3. The position of Bank Indonesia within the state structure
    4. The transformation of Bank Indonesia
    5. Scope of monetary policy
    6. Scope of macroprudential policy

    Scope of payment system policy

b. Session 2 – Selected Topics (Choose One)
1. Digital Economy
Participants will learn about:

  • Digital economy transformation
    The concept of payment systems
  • Indonesia Payment System Blueprint (BSPI) 2030
  • Payment system infrastructure

2. Love, Pride, and Understanding of Rupiah
Participants will learn about:

  • The concept of “Love, Pride, and Understanding Rupiah"
  • The design of the Rupiah
  • Security features of authentic Rupiah banknotes

3. Consumer Protection
Participants will learn about:

  • Bank Indonesia's role in consumer protection
  • Types of cybercrime in the financial sector
  • Prevention efforts and consumer education​

  • Forms: Complete all forms as required, namely participant data, accompanied by an official letter (on letterheaded paper with the school/campus/institution/organisation logo)
  • Booking a Visit: An advance reservation must be booked at least 7 (seven) days prior to the visit.

 

  • Supporting Documents

Applicants must complete and submit all required documents, including participant data and an official letter from the institution (on official letterhead with logo).

  • Visit Submission

Visit requests must be submitted no later than 14 (fourteen) days prior to the planned visit date.


DISCLAIMER:

Bank Indonesia does not charge any fees for BINGO visits. In additi​on to the Head Office, visits can also be arranged at the nearest Bank Indonesia Regional Offices. For further information, please contact your nearest BI Representative office via this link

2.BINGO Goes To You

In addition to receiving visits at head office, Bank Indonesia also provides educational services at the location of the participants through the BINGO Goes To Your University and BINGO Goes To Your School (Jabodetabek).​​

Requirements for BINGO Goes To You

  • Total Participants: Groups of up to 200 school students or 500 university students
  • School Visiting Times: Thursdays 09:00-12:00 WIB (adjusted to school timetable)
  • University Visiting Times: Business Days 09:00-12:00 WIB (in coordination with the university)
  • Sessions: Visits are conducted over two sessions.  The first session discusses central banking topics, followed by one of the following options:
  1. Love, Pride and Understanding the Rupiah
  2. Cashless Payment Systems
  3. QRIS (Quick Response Indonesian Standard)
  4. Monetary Policy
  5. Macroprudential Policy
  • Forms: Complete all forms as required, namely participant data, accompanied by an official letter (on letterheaded paper with the school/campus/institution/organisation logo)
  • Booking a Visit: An advance reservation must be booked at least 30 (thirty) days prior to the visit.

BINGO Visit Application Guide

Please follow the steps below and prepare all required documents:

​1. Account Registration

  • Visit the official BI BICARA portal, then click “Register"
  • Fill in your personal details, including address
  • Verify your account via the link sent to your email

2. Visit Registration

  • Log in using your verified email
  • Click the “Visit" menu
  • Read the terms and conditions, then click “Register Visit"
  • Download and complete the participant data template
  • Click “Continue"

3. Fill in the Visit Form

  • Visit type: automatically selected as offline
  • Topic 1: automatically set as central banking
  • Select Topic 2 as desired
  • Choose a visit date (available sessions will appear between 08:00–12:00 WIB)
  • Enter the name of the institution/group
  • Input the number of participants (minimum 30, maximum 100)
  • Upload the official letter and participant data
  • Click “Submit" to send the request​

BI Public Information Services ​​​

Bank Indonesia provides prompt and convenient Public Information Services at low cost for walk-in visitors to the BI Visitor Centre as a form of public transparency.

Requirements for Walk-In Visitors toBI Visitor Centre:

  • Plan a visit via this link
  • Present a valid ID
  • Dress appropriately

​​Museum BI

Visitation to Museum BI

Housing various interactive exhibits using the latest technologies to display the history of Bank Indonesia's policies, historical numismatic collections, as well as the economic development stages and architecture of the building, Museum BI is open to visitors. 

Visitation Requirements:

  • Total Participants: Group visit minimum of 20-150 visitors are welcome to each session.
  • Visiting Times:  Tuesday-Sunday (08:00-15:30 WIB).
  • Sessions:  Three sessions are available.
    Session 1 (08:00-10:00 WIB),                                       
    Session 2 (10:00-12:00 WIB) and
    Session 3 (13:00-15:00 WIB).
  • Individual Tickets:  Individual tickets are also available for on-the-spot purchase (Rp5,000 per person).
  • Free Admission:  Admission is free for students by showing a valid student card, also group visits that already registered and verified by Museum BI's Admin.

Online/Offline Application to Visit Museum BI

  • Registration of Group Visit:  Groups can apply to register a visit via WhatsApp on +6281291573940.
  • Send an official letter from the institution/school/community for visitation application to Museum BI's WhatsApp.
  • The proof of registration confirmation will be received after the visit is approved.
  • Each Group Coordinator (PIC) is responsible for printing and bringing the proof of registration confirmation along with the original (hard copy) of the visitation application letter on the day of the visit.
