Bank Indonesia Head Office

Through its public education program concerning task implementation at Bank Indonesia, Bank Indonesia receives visits from members of the public (educational institutions, private institutions, corporations and so on) free of charge based on the following requirements:

Visitors are expected to register in advance online (up to 3 months in advance) by completing the form at the bottom of this page, followed by an official letter (letterhead with school/campus/institution/organisation logo) for approval by the Communication Department addressed to:

After registration, a scanned official confirmation letter from the institution/university/school must be emailed to:​

Please include Surat Permohonan Kunjungan ke BI dari (Nama Instansi)in the subject line.

The registration letter must contain:

  1. Requested date of visit;
  2. Number of visitors in the group (20-100);
  3. If the number of visitors is less than 20, a separate registration procedure is required (please contact the telephone number above);
  4. Contact person (telephone, mobile, email, fax)
  5. Select one of the following topics:
    1. Cash payment system and characteristics of genuine rupiah
    2. Non-cash payment system
    3. Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard

Bank Indonesia receives visitors every Thursday from 09.00 until 12.00 WIB on a first-come, first-served basis.  Bank Indonesia reserves the right to reject visit applications if the date requested is already booked (if the desired date has already been allocated on the queue list, that date is therefore no longer available). ​

Information on Procedures for Visits to the Bank Indonesia Museum

As a means of communicating Bank Indonesia policies as well as providing historical information facilities divided into clusters: BI Institutions, Building Architecture, and Numismatics from time to time, the Bank Indonesia Museum welcomes group visits from various agencies, schools, universities or communities, free of charge through reservation with the following procedure:​

  1. Make a reservation for available date and time of visit at Museum BI through:​

  1. Make a reservation for the date and time of visit available on the online portal BICARA via the following link​ https://www.bi.go.id/bicara​
  2. After the visiting hours have been confirmed, visiting participants are required to send a visit request letter on the official letterhead of the relevant agency, with the contents as follows:
    • Date and time of visit.
    • The number of visiting participants (the minimum number of visiting participants is 20 people).
    • Contact person in charge of visiting participant.
  3. After sending an official letter, visiting participants will get confirmation from the BI Museum regarding the reservation that has been made.
By making a reservation, visiting participants will get the following facilitiesi:
  1. The BI Museum entrance ticket is free.
  2. Free guides.
  3. Theater facilities if the number of participants visiting is below 80 people.
The Bank Indonesia Museum serves visits from Tuesday to Sunday with a choice of time for group visits at: 08.00, 09.00, 10.00, 13.00, and 14.00. Mondays and national / religious holidays, the Bank Indonesia Museum is closed​
