Foreign Exchange Reference Rate: Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (JISDOR) represents the USD/IDR spot price based on real-time interbank USD/IDR foreign exchange transactions against the rupiah in the domestic foreign exchange market captured by Bank Indonesia's monitoring system of foreign exchange transactions against the rupiah (SISMONTAVAR). JISDOR provides a representative market price benchmark rate for USD/IDR spot transactions in the domestic foreign exchange market. JISDOR has been published since 20th May 2013. JISDOR is specified as follows.

  • JISDOR data is published daily, excluding Saturday, Sunday and national holidays as well as other bank holidays.
  • In the event of insufficient interbank spot transactional data during the specified window due to data unavailability or system failure, JISDOR will refer to the exchange rate of the previous day.
  • The strengthening of JISDOR is effectively starting on Monday, 5th April 2021 as stated on “BI Board Governors result and news release on 21st January 2021"

  • In term of the operational domestic foreign exchange market time change, the data collection and publication period of JISDOR will be adjusted following the operational domestic foreign exchange market time.
  • Due to Covid-19 pandemic, The JISDOR transaction data formation collecting period will be conducted from 09.00 – 15.00 WIB and will be published at 15.15 WIB.

Non-USD/IDR Reference Rate

  • Non-USD/IDR Reference Rate are Indonesian Rupiahs to several currencies exchange rate.  The Reference Rate are aimed to help market participants in rate setting for non-USD derivative transaction settlements.
  •  Non-USD/IDR Reference Rate are published daily at 16:30 WIB. However, due to adjusted operational time of the domestic foreign exchange market during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Reference Rate are published at 15:30 WIB.

​BI ​Transaction Rates​

  • Bank Indonesia foreign exchange rates are presented in the form of buy and sell rates of foreign currencies against Rupiah, as a reference for BI transactions with a third party, such as the government.
  • The mid-market rate of Bank Indonesia USD/IDR transaction uses the benchmark rate (JISDOR) D-1.
  • Bank Indonesia announces its foreign exchange rate once a day at 08.00 a.m.
  • The adjustment of publication time of foreign exchange rate in relation to the strengthening of JISDOR is effectively commenced on Monday, 5th April 2021.
