No.23/231/DKom
The latest Consumer Survey conducted by
Bank Indonesia in August 2021 indicated restrained consumer confidence in
economic conditions as the Government extends mobility restrictions to overcome
the highly contagious Delta variant of coronavirus. Such conditions were
reflected by a lower 77.3 Consumer Confidence Index (CCI)
compared with 80.2 in July 2021.
Meanwhile, consumer
expectations of future economic conditions have shown early signs of improving driven by expectations of incomes
and business activity moving forward in response to greater mobility as
restrictions on public activity are relaxed.
More information concerning the Consumer
Survey is available on the Bank Indonesia website.
