As a measure of liquidity in the economy, broad money (M2) growth accelerated in September 2025. M2 growth in September 2025 accelerated to 8.0% (yoy) from 7.6% (yoy) in August 2025, amounting to Rp9,771.3 trillion. The latest M2 developments were driven by growth of narrow money (M1) at 10.7% (yoy) and quasi-money at 6.2% (yoy).
M2 developments[1] in September 2025 were influenced by net foreign assets (NFA), disbursed loans and Net Claims on Central Government (NCG). NFA posted 12.6% (yoy) growth in the reporting period, increasing from 10.7% (yoy) the month earlier, thereby recorded at Rp2,085.3 trillion. Growth of disbursed loans in September 2025 accelerated to 7.2% (yoy) from 7.0% (yoy) in August 2025.[2] Meanwhile, NCG grew 6.5% (yoy) in the reporting period, up from 5.0% (yoy) in August 2025.
