In conjunction with the national industry, Bank Indonesia has implemented three initiatives under the auspices of BSPI 2025, namely QRIS, BI-FAST and SNAP, thereby making significant headway towards expanding access to payments for all.  Moving forward, Bank Indonesia has detailed three commitments to accelerate an integrated digital economy and finance ecosystem.  First, regulatory reform to accelerate consolidation within a healthy, competitive and innovative payments industry.  Second, developing interoperable, interconnected and integrated payment infrastructure.  Third, developing safe, efficient and equitable market practices.  That was the key takeaway delivered by BI Deputy Governor, Aida S. Budiman, at the seminar entitled 'Synergy for Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth' during the third day of FEKDI 2022, as a side event of the G20 Finance Track: Finance and Central Bank Deputies (FCBD) Meeting and 3rd Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) Meeting in Nusa Dua, Bali (13/7).

Deputy Governor Aida also reiterated two critical aspects of inclusive and sustainable digitalisation.  First, digitalisation has allowed us to carry out more inclusive and sustainable economic activities, with the broad benefits felt by everyone through less inequality.  Second, synergy and collaboration between the authorities and industry are key to deriving the benefits of a digital economy and finance ecosystem.

The seminar raised important discussion topics, such as accelerating digital innovation through integrated payments, presented by association representatives and key players in the digital economy, including the Chairman of the Open Banking Committee, Timothy Utama, Chairman of the Foreign Banks Association of Indonesia (PERBINA), Batara Sianturi, CEO of Dana Indonesia, Vincent Iswara, and Co-Founder of Tokopedia, Leotinus Alpha. Digital payment initiatives to support economic sustainability were also discussed by the Head of Indonesia FinTech Association (Aftech), Dina Artarini, Secretary General of the Indonesia Payment System Association (ASPI), Handayani, Vice Chairman for Digital Finance Development of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Indonesia), Budi Gandasoebrata, Representative of the Financial Institutions Group Asia, Miguel Angel Soriano, and Representative of the Indonesian Economist Association (ISEI), Hendri Saprini. The discussion sessions were moderated by Kania Sutisnawinata and Deddy Corbuzier.

Public access to the discussions and events of FEKDI 2022, from 11-17th July, is available virtually via https://fekdi.co.id/.
