No.28/234/DKom
The latest Banking Survey indicates that new loan disbursements are expected to accelerate in the fourth quarter of 2026. This is reflected by a Weighted Net Balance (WNB) of 91.31%, higher than both 90.08% in the third quarter of 2026 and 88.92% in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The expected increase in new loan disbursements in the fourth quarter of 2026 is consistent with an easing of lending standards, as reflected by the Lending Standards Index (LSI). The LSI stood at 0.28 in the third quarter of 2026 and is expected to ease further to 0.15 in the fourth quarter of 2026. The easing of lending standards affected, among others, credit lines, loan maturities, lending rates, and administrative requirements.
Respondents expect outstanding loans to maintain growth through to the end of 2026, supported by a positive economic outlook and contained credit risk.
