Siaran Pers
Press Releases

No. 28/20/DKom

Bank Indonesia today (28/01) launched the Economic Report on Indonesia (LPI) 2025, entitled Strong and Self-Reliant: Synergy to Foster Higher and Resilient Economic Growth. LPI reviews the domestic and global economic outlook and evaluates policy implementation by Bank Indonesia in 2025 and the direction of the policy mix in 2026.

The Governor of Bank Indonesia, Perry Warjiyo outlined three key takeaways: Optimism, Commitment and Synergy. Optimism must be built continuously and strengthened to bolster the promising economic outlook. Bank Indonesia forecasts economic growth in 2025 in the 4.7-5.5% range, before accelerating to 4.9-5.7% in 2026 and 5.1-5.9% in 2027. Price stability has been maintained, with inflation within the 2.5%±1% target range in 2026 and 2027. Commitment must be strengthened to provide the best for national economic advancement. Bank Indonesia is firmly committed to strengthening the policy mix, oriented towards fostering economic growth and maintaining stability. Meanwhile, Synergy must be strengthened in five key areas: (i) strengthening economic stability, (ii) fostering the real sector through the downstreaming of natural resources and industrialisation, (iii) strengthening the community-based economy, (iv) increasing economic financing, and (v) accelerating digitalisation. Moving forward, Bank Indonesia will continue strengthening synergy and coordination with the Government and other relevant authorities to nurture higher and more resilient economic growth, while remaining vigilant against various shocks and uncertainties, including their spillover impacts on the domestic economy.

LPI is a form of public policy transparency by Bank Indonesia in accordance with Article 58, Paragraph (7) of Act No. 23 of 1999 concerning Bank Indonesia (Bank Indonesia Act), as amended several times, most recently by Act No. 4 of 2023 concerning Financial Sector Development and Strengthening. LPI 2025 is expected to serve as a credible and quality reference concerning economic performance and the outlook in Indonesia, alongside national policy mix synergy, and the direction of the Bank Indonesia policy mix.
