No. 28/169/DKom

Eight financial institutions have signed financing agreements with their MSME partners. Four of the agreements involve inclusive financing[1], while the other four involve sustainable financing[2]. The agreements resulted from MSME financing business matching facilitated by Bank Indonesia. As of July 2026, business matching facilitated by Bank Indonesia reached Rp285 billion, including Rp150 billion of inclusive financing and Rp135 billion of sustainable financing. This achievement is expected to continue increasing as more financing is realised through to the end of 2026. The signing was witnessed by the Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, Aida S. Budiman, and the Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Maman Abdurrahman. Representatives from BRI, BCA, BSI, Mandiri, SMBC, Panin Bank, OCBC and BNI signed the agreements with their respective MSME partners at the Financing Festival hosted by Bank Indonesia as part of the Karya Kreatif Indonesia (KKI) 2026 series of events held at JICC Jakarta on 21st August 2026.

MSME financing challenges not only relate to the availability of funds, but also business readiness, risk perception and the ability to connect MSMEs with financial institutions. Bank Indonesia, therefore, is strengthening end-to-end MSME development. To date, the measures implemented by Bank Indonesia include strengthening business capacity and financial track records, increasing MSME visibility and expanding market access. Bank Indonesia connects MSMEs with financial institutions to facilitate access to finance. Synergy among all stakeholders is key to enabling more MSMEs to obtain financing, grow and level up.

Furthermore, Deputy Governor Aida stated, “Bank Indonesia serves as a catalyst for strengthening MSME financing from both the supply and demand sides." On the supply side, the Macroprudential Liquidity Incentive Policy (KLM) provides liquidity incentives to banks that extend financing to MSMEs. Meanwhile, the Inclusive Macroprudential Financing Ratio (RPIM) promotes inclusive financing. On the demand side, payment digitalisation through QRIS helps build financial track records for small businesses. “Strengthening the MSME financing ecosystem moving forward requires consistent commitment, adaptive innovation and closer synergy between Bank Indonesia, the Government, the financial sector and other stakeholders," concluded Deputy Governor Aida.

The Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Maman Abdurrahman, took the opportunity to emphasise that financing must be supported by stronger capacity and broader market access to enable MSMEs to continue developing, while maintaining financing quality. As of 20th August 2026, People's Business Credit (KUR) disbursements totalled Rp197 trillion, extended to 3.05 million MSMEs, of which 65% was channelled to production. The Government is also strengthening MSME services through the SAPA UMKM digital platform, which integrates various business development services and information into a single ecosystem, while promoting business matching synergy to expand financing specifically tailored to business requirements. “The financing agreements signed today are expected to provide capital for expanding business capacity and markets, as well as increasing turnover," stated Minister Maman.

MSME readiness to access financing has also been strengthened through the Financial Information Recording Application System (SIAPIK) and the Data Input Application System (BISAID). SIAPIK assists MSMEs in recording transactions and generating standardised financial statements. During the first half of 2026, SIAPIK assisted 63,396 MSMEs. Meanwhile, BISAID provides a database of MSME profiles with financing potential as a reference for financial institutions. Utilisation of BISAID helped 476 MSMEs obtain financing in 2025. Both initiatives make it easier for MSMEs to connect with financial institutions.

The Financing Festival continued with a talk show featuring financial institutions sharing information concerning financing products, schemes and mechanisms targeting MSMEs. Speakers included BCA Senior Vice President, Tjoeng Haryanto; BRI Senior Executive Vice President, Candra Utama; BSI Director of Retail Banking, Kemas Erwan Husainy; BNI SEVP Commercial Banking, Andi Yusdiman; and PNM Head of the Business Capacity Development and Social and Environmental Responsibility Division, Merphino Soelaksmono. The session provided invaluable information and expanded connectivity for MSMEs regarding various alternative financing sources tailored to their needs and stage of business development.

Bank Indonesia urges all stakeholders to continue strengthening synergy to expand access to finance as well as increase MSME capacity and readiness. In line with the spirit of KKI 2026, Beudaya MeusareSare, meaning Empowered, Together, such synergy is expected to enhance MSME competitiveness and promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

Come and join KKI 2026 by visiting the exhibition at Halls A and B of JICC, Jakarta, or online via www.karyakreatifindonesia.co.id. Together, let us support Indonesian MSMEs to recover, become resilient and competitive, and serve as a source of national pride.
