In June 2026, the RSI was recorded at 225.0. On a monthly basis, retail sales grew by 0.7% (mtm) in June 2026, improving from a 1.5% (mtm) contraction in the previous period, in line with maintained demand during the national religious festive period and school holidays.
In terms of prices, respondents predict milder inflationary pressures in September 2026, followed by a build-up in December 2026. This was reflected by a Price Expectations Index (PEI) in September 2026 of 155.2, down from 178.0 in August 2026. Meanwhile, respondents predict the PEI in December 2026 at 168.1, up from 167.5 in November 2026.
