No. 26/71/DKom
The latest Consumer Survey conducted by Bank Indonesia indicates increasing consumer optimism in March 2024 compared with conditions one month earlier, as reflected by an uptick in the Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) to 123.8 from a level of 123.1 recorded in February 2024.
Consumer confidence in March 2024 was edged upwards by a stronger Current Economic Condition Index (CECI) and optimistic Consumer Expectation Index (CEI). The CECI recorded broad-based gains across all component indexes, particularly the Current Income Index, while the solid CEI was underpinned by the Income Expectation Index.
More information concerning the Consumer Survey is accessible via the official Bank Indonesia website.
