No. 26//195/DKom
The latest Consumer Survey conducted by Bank Indonesia in August 2024 indicates increasing consumer confidence in economic conditions compared with one month earlier, as reflected by an uptick in the Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) to 124.4 from 123.4 in July 2024.
Consumer confidence increased in August 2024 on the back of an optimistic Current Economic Condition Index (CECI) and stronger Consumer Expectation Index (CEI). The optimistic CECI index was primarily driven by the Current Income Index, while the higher CEI reading was supported by all component indexes, particularly the Income Expectation Index.
More information concerning the Consumer Survey is accessible via the official Bank Indonesia website.
