As Chair, the Bank Indonesia Governor will guide ACC-BIS activities in various areas of central banking, including monetary, macroprudential and payment system matters. “As ACC-BIS Chair, I will strengthen communication and cooperation between central banks in the Asia-Pacific region to ensure a synchronous recovery process across all member countries, while nurturing solid and sustainable growth," stated Governor Perry Warjiyo.
During his Chairmanship, Perry Warjiyo will promote research and policy recommendations concerning several global central banking issues, such as how to protect developing economies from the adverse effects of policy normalisation in advanced economies (exit strategy), how to develop sources of finance that support global efforts to overcome climate change (sustainable finance) and which principles are required as a reference in the development of digital currency issued by central banks (central bank digital currency).
