As a measure of liquidity in the economy, broad money (M2) recorded positive growth in June 2026. The M2 position in June 2026 reached Rp10,432.8 trillion, representing a growth of 8.7% (yoy), following a growth of 10.8% (yoy) in May 2026. By component, the latest M2 developments were driven by growth of narrow money (M1) at 9.8% (yoy) and quasi-money at 6.9% (yoy).
M2 developments in June 2026 were primarily influenced by disbursed loans and net claims on the central government. Disbursed loans grew by 12.1% (yoy), accelerating from 10.8% (yoy) in May 2026.¹ Meanwhile, net claims on the central government grew by 10.1% (yoy), following a growth of 37.4% (yoy) in May 2026.
Adjusted base money (M0)² grew by 13.8% (yoy) in June 2026 from 14.2% (yoy) the month earlier, thus recorded at Rp2,228.0 trillion. This was influenced by the growth of currency in circulation at 14.0% (yoy) and adjusted commercial bank demand deposits at BI recorded at 12.6% (yoy). Based on the affecting factors, growth of adjusted M0 has already isolated the impact of providing liquidity incentives (adjusted monetary controls).
