Deputy Governor

Born in Jakarta in 1970, Ricky P. Gozali completed his formal education with a Bachelor of Management from Pancasila University in 1992 and a Masters in Management from the University of Indonesia in 2011. Ricky also graduated from Bank Indonesia’s highest leadership program - SESPIBI (2019), alongside various strategic leadership and competency development programs from different international institutions, including the Strategic Leadership Program at the London Premier Centre in Barcelona (2024), Columbia University (2023), and Bayes Business School in London (2022). In addition, Ricky actively engages in domestic and international central banking and financial market training and certification programs..

Beginning his career at Bank Indonesia in 1995 in the Bank Indonesia Representative Office of Central Java Province, Ricky P. Gozali has enjoyed an illustrious career spanning more than two decades, focusing on managing Indonesia’s foreign exchange reserve portfolio in domestic and international markets. He was assigned to the Bank Indonesia Representative Office in New York for four years from 2004-2008, where he served as Chief Dealer in the foreign exchange market. This experience complemented his vast and comprehensive understanding of global financial market dynamics..

After returning home to Indonesia, Ricky P. Gozali continued his strategic assignments as Head of the Foreign Exchange Management Division, Head of the International Market Analysis Division and Group Head of International Relations and International Policy. His career also includes strong leadership positions as Head of the BI Representative Offices in several regions, namely Gorontalo (2018-2019), East Kalimantan (2022-2023), South Sumatra (2023-2025) and most recently Jakarta (2025). In his leadership capacity, Ricky played an active role in MSME development, the sharia economy, payment system digitalisation as well as strengthening coordination with regional governments and relevant stakeholders..

In addition to his various structural assignments, Ricky P. Gozali is active in a range of organisational activities, which include serving as Deputy Chair of the Bank Indonesia Employees Association (IPEBI) from 2020-2023. .

Ricky P. Gozali was officially installed as Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 68/P of 2025, dated 29th July 2025, and taking the oath of office on 11th August 2025.
