Filianingsih Hendarta

Deputy Governor

Born in Surabaya in 1963, Filianingsih Hendarta completed her undergraduate education in law at Airlangga University in 1985 before receiving a master’s degree in economics and finance from Boston University, USA in 1992.

Fili began her career at Bank Indonesia in 1986. She led the Payment System Policy Department from 2019-2022 after heading the Macroprudential Policy Department from 2015-2019 and the Monetary Management Department from 2013-2015.

During her career at Bank Indonesia, Fili has also been assigned to the G20, BIS, FSB, IMF, World Bank, ECB, EMEAP, the Fed, Bank of Belgium, BOT, BNM and Deutsche Bundesbank.

Filianingsih Hendarta was officially appointed Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 21/P of 2023 on March 15th for a tenure from 2023-2028 and took the oath of office on April 18th 2023.
