As a measure of liquidity in the economy, broad money growth accelerated in December 2025. M2 growth in December 2025 accelerated to 9.6% (yoy) from 8.3% (yoy) in November 2025, thus reaching a position of Rp10,133.1 trillion. By component, the latest M2 developments were driven by growth of narrow money (M1) at 14.0% (yoy) and quasi-money at 5.5% (yoy).
M2 developments[1] in December 2025 were primarily influenced by net claims on central government (NCG) and disbursed loans. NCG in the reporting period posted 13.6% (yoy) growth, up from 8.7% (yoy) one month earlier. Growth of disbursed loans in December 2025 accelerated to 9.3% (yoy) from 7.9% (yoy) in November 2025.[2] Meanwhile, Net Foreign Assets (NFA) recorded 8.9% (yoy) growth, following a 9.7% (yoy) increase the month earlier.
