As a measure of liquidity in the economy, broad money (M2) growth was maintained in April 2025. The M2 growth in April 2025 stood at at 5.2% (yoy), following a growth of 6.1% (yoy) in the previous month, reaching a total of Rp9,390.0 trillion. The development was driven by growth of narrow money (M1) at 6.0% (yoy) and quasi-money at 2.4% (yoy).
M2 growth in April 2025 was primarily influenced by disbursed loans and net claims on central government (NCG). Disbursed loans in April 2025 grew 8.5% (yoy) after increasing by 8.7% (yoy) the month earlier. Meanwhile, NCG experienced a 21.0% (yoy) contraction after declining 8.7% (yoy) in March 2025. On the other hand, net foreign assets (NFA) in April 2025 posted 3.6% (yoy) growth, following 6.0% (yoy) growth recorded in March 2025.
