Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II was the leader of the Palembang Sultanate. Since he had been crowned to succeed his father, he actively opposed the invaders.
The task of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II was extremely hard, because at that time Palembang was facing a continuous battle against the British and the Dutch.
