Ir. H. Djuanda Kartawidjaja, a National Hero

Djuanda Kartawidjaja was the initiator of the concept of an archipelagic country known as the "Djuanda Declaration", which claims all of the waters connecting the islands, becoming absolute sovereignty of Indonesia. Because of this declaration, the territory of Indonesia was 2.5 times wider than before.
