As a measure of liquidity in the economy, broad money recorded positive growth in July 2026. The M2 position in July 2026 reached Rp10,371.1 trillion, representing a growth of 8.3% (yoy), following a growth of 8.7% (yoy) in the June 2026. By component, the latest M2 developments were driven by growth of narrow money (M1) at 10.0% (yoy) and quasi-money at 5.6% (yoy).
M2 developments in July 2026 were primarily influenced by disbursed loans and net claims on the central government. Disbursed loans grew by 13.0% (yoy), accelerating from 12.1% (yoy) in June 2026. Meanwhile, net claims on the central government grew by 4.6% (yoy), following a growth of 10.1% (yoy) in June 2026.
