I Gusti Ngurah Rai, a National Hero

I Gusti Ngurah Rai is a Balinese hero who was famous with the “Puputan Margarana” war. He fought hard for Bali to become a part of Indonesia. I Gusti Ngurah Rai died during the battle along with 95 of his troops, while 400 Dutch soldiers were killed.
For his services, I Gusti Ngurah Rai was awarded a title as National Hero and his name is commemorated as the name of the international airport in Bali.
