I Gusti Ngurah Rai is a Balinese hero, who was famous with the “Puputan Margarana” war.
He died during the battle, along with 95 of his troops.
For his services, I Gusti Ngurah Rai was awarded the title as a National Hero and his name is commemorated as the name of the international airport in Bali.
