No.26/27/DKom
The latest Consumer Survey conducted by Bank Indonesia in January 2024 indicates increasing consumer confidence in economic conditions compared to December 2023, as reflected by a higher Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) reading of 125.0 from 123.8 the month earlier.
Growing consumer confidence in January 2024 was driven by a stronger Current Economic Condition Index (CECI) and Consumer Expectation Index (CEI). The CECI increased due to the Job Availability Index and Current Income Index. Meanwhile, the CEI, which shows the consumer expectation on the next 6 months, was boosted by the Job Availability Expectation Index and the Business Activity Expectation Index.
More information concerning the Consumer Survey is accessible via the official Bank Indonesia website.
