Technology has been an indispensable assistant in all aspects of existence. The use of technology shapes production, consumption, administration, learning, networking, and leisure activities. People, on the other hand, often equate the word “technology" with traits such as devastating and potentially harmful, and they prefer to take the advantages of technological products for granted. This asymmetry in risk–benefit perception is one of the primary reasons that many customers are worried about 'hidden' threats of technology and seek strict regulatory measures when they believe they are being overly exposed to future pollution or waste products associated with the lifecycle of technologies.
