Imaduddin Sahabat was born in Pandeglang in  1970. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Socioeconomics from the Bogor Agricultural University in 1993. He obtained a Masters in Management in 1996 and a Masters in Economic Science in 2010, and a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Indonesia in 2016.

He started his career at Bank Indonesia in 1997. Imaduddin served as Head of the Money Management Department Group - PUR Licensing & Support Group. Imaduddin also served as Head of the Bank Indonesia Representative Office for Banten Province in 2022 and since early 2024 until now has served as Chief of Representative Office of Bank Indonesia Tokyo.
