Siaran Pers
Press Releases

No. 27/286/DKom

Indonesia has solid fundamental capital to foster higher and resilient economic growth against a backdrop of global dynamics replete with challenges. Indonesia's economy indicates firm resilience and persistent economic growth, accompanied by maintained macroeconomic and financial system stability. Accordingly, there are three keys to accelerating resilient economic growth in 2026, namely optimism, maximum effort from all parties, and synergy. We must remain optimistic that the Indonesian economy will improve and overcome the challenges. Bank Indonesia will go all out to formulate and implement pro-growth policies while maintaining stability, with all efforts executed in synergy with all relevant parties, including fiscal policy within the national economic transformation policy mix. That was the key takeaway delivered by Bank Indonesia Governor, Perry Warjiyo, at the opening ceremony of the Bank Indonesia with the Community (BIRAMA) 2025 event held at Bank Indonesia Head Office in Jakarta (01/12).

Bank Indonesia Governor, Perry Warjiyo, took the opportunity to convey the direction of the Bank Indonesia policy mix for 2026 to participants from financial institutions, economists, academics and the mass media. First, monetary policy shall remain oriented towards managing inflation and maintaining Rupiah exchange rate stability. Second, macroprudential policy is directed towards strengthening banking intermediation to support Government's priority sectors. Third, payment system policy is oriented towards increasing digital payment transactions, including QRIS and BI-FAST. Fourth, money market and foreign exchange market deepening policy is focused on strengthening financial market products, pricing, participants and infrastructure to support national economic financing. Fifth, Bank Indonesia continues strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the green economy and sharia economy to support the people's economy. “By strengthening the policy mix, Bank Indonesia is fully committed to supporting the Government's Asta Cita program, while maintaining stability as well as inclusive and resilient national economic growth," added Governor Perry.

As a part of the BIRAMA 2025 program, Bank Indonesia hosted Edutainment program and a live podcast, which raised a number of current economic issues and discussed the economic outlook and its relevance for the younger generation. During the discussion, the Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, Ricky P. Gozali, outlined Bank Indonesia's policy efforts and duty to accelerate economic growth in Indonesia and maintain stability, addressing the GenZ attendees at the event. Indonesia's future lies in the hands of the younger generation, and Bank Indonesia will continue striving to ensure a bright and stable path forward, filled with opportunity for all young people. “Let us work together to build a capable young generation ready to contribute toward realising Indonesia Emas," concluded Deputy Governor Ricky.

As an integral part of the Bank Indonesia Annual Meeting (PTBI) 2025, BIRAMA 2025 aims to deepen public understanding concerning Bank Indonesia's policy and guide the wider community when making economic decisions moving forward. The event serves as a catalyst for strengthening the understanding, optimism and support from all elements of society to work in synergy towards fostering higher and more resilient economic growth.
