TEMPO.CO, Purwakarta - President
Joko "Jokowi" Widodo on Saturday (13/6) inaugurated Cikopo-Palimanan
toll road, which spans along 116.75 kilometers and is the longest toll road in
Indonesia and also a part of the Trans Java toll road.
"I’d like to highly
appreciate the management of Cikopo-Palimanan toll road that has completed the
project before the fasting month,” the President said in his remarks.
The Cikopo-Palimanan toll road
traverses five regencies in West Java, namelyPurwakarta, Subang, Indramayu,
Majalengka, and Cirebon.
In the meantime, Public Works and
Public Housing MinisterBasuki Hadimuljono said that the toll road is apart of
the Trans Java toll road and will also connect Jakarta-Cikampek toll road and Palimanan-Kanci toll road.
“The operation of Cikopo-Palimanan
toll road is expected to reduce the mileage of Pantura (northern cost of Java)
lane by around 40 kilometer and will reduce the mileage by at least 2 hours,”
he said.
He also hoped that the toll road

the Pantura area and hoped that it could support mobility in Java and support
