To complete the ethics infrastructure and to detect the presence of violations on code of ethics and code of conduct, Bank Indonesia implements a violation reporting system through Whistle Blowing System (WBS) of Bank Indonesia. Whistle Blowing System (WBS) is a reporting facility for the internal circle of Bank Indonesia in particular and for public to report any conduct or action that violates Code of Ethics and Conduct of Bank Indonesia carried out by Bank Indonesia personnel.
WBS provides a coordinated and integrated sytem from receiving reports to the enforcement follow-ups of the alleged violations. Through the system, the public can report any alleged violation of ethics, conducts, and work procedures performed by Bank Indonesia human resources as a form of social control. Every report will be kept of its confidentiality and in the case of sufficient evidences, will be followed up in the process of further investigation. The existence of WBS creates a mutual control system to the conformity of conducts and compliance with work procedures performed by Bank Indonesia human resources. WBS is also a form of BI commitment to always maintain integrity and professionalism, including accountability in the enforcement toward the alleged violations.
