Indonesia’s official reserve assets amounted to US$100.7 billion at the end of January 2014, increased  US$1.3 billion from December 2013 position at US$99.4 billion. The reserves position is sufficient to finance 5.7 months of imports or 5.6 months of imports and servicing of government external debt, well above the international standards of reserve adequacy at 3 months of imports. Bank Indonesia views that the official reserve assets are adequate to support the external sector resilience and the sustainability of Indonesian economic growth.
