Bank Survey result indicates an increase in new credit growth during the second quarter of 2017. New credit growth is estimated to continue in the third quarter of 2017. It is indicated from the increasing Weighted Net Balance (WNB) of new credit demand from 52.9% during the first quarter to 84.8% during the second quarter of 2017, and increasing to 99.3% during the third quarter of 2017. The estimated credit extension increase is primarily attributable to the projected improving economic condition and decreasing credit extension risk.

Bank credit extension policy during the third quarter of 2017 is estimated to ease compared to the previous quarter. The projected improving economic condition and sufficient liquidity encourages respondents to increase their credit lines and decrease their risk credit premium during the third quarter of 2017. Bank Survey result also indicates that the overall credit growth in 2017 is 12.4% (yoy), slightly lower than 13.2% (yoy) in the survey result of the previous quarter.
