Commemorating 74th Anniversary of Independence, Bank Indonesia Pays Respects to National Heroes - Bank Sentral Republik Indonesia

Bank Indonesia (BI) today (20/08) visited the Tanah Kusir Cemetery and Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in Jakarta to pay respect to several national heroes. The Governor and all members of the Board of Governors, BI officers and employee representatives laid wreaths at the graves of several heroes of Indonesia’s independence. During the visit, the Governor of Bank Indonesia urged the younger employees to emulate their heroes and continue their struggle through tangible contributions in the daily execution of duties. The memorial provided momentum to Bank Indonesia’s leaders and employees to always remember the services and sacrifices of the national heroes, to nurture a profound love for the country and actively contribute to the state, including in daily task implementation.

The pilgrimage and wreath laying ceremony are regular activities conducted by Bank Indonesia to celebrate the 74th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence. Bank Indonesia also visited with the families of national heroes as a show of respect for their struggles and achievements.
