The Governor of Bank Indonesia, Perry Warjiyo, today (04/09/24) in Jakarta appointed two new work unit leaders at Bank Indonesia Head Office as follows:
- Riza Tyas U. H., former Group Head of Domestic Statistics and Quality Assurance, appointed as Head of the Statistics Department, effective from 2nd September 2024.
- Anastuty K., former head of the MSME Development and Consumer Protection Department, appointed as Head of the Green and Inclusive Economy and Finance Department, effective from 1st October 2024.
Governor Perry took the opportunity to convey his hopes and expectations that the new leaders will continue to innovate towards strengthening all existing business processes at Bank Indonesia by optimising the use of artificial intelligence (AI). This is consistent with the rapid development of digitalisation, particularly in terms of data management as a strategic element of policymaking at Bank Indonesia. Furthermore, Governor Perry also emphasised that the new leaders should strive to increase Bank Indonesia's exposure and roles nationally and internationally.
As an integral part of Bank Indonesia's transformation currently underway to fulfil its commitment to supporting sustainable economic growth, as mandated by the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Act (P2SK Act), in the execution of its duties, Bank Indonesia is also nurturing the development of an inclusive and green economy and finance. This is supported by comprehensive organisational improvements through the establishment of a new work unit, namely the Green and Inclusive Economy and Finance Department (DEIH), which is expected to support Bank Indonesia's vision of becoming a green central bank in terms of both the policies and institutional facets.
