In April 2012, the Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems (CPSS) and the Technical Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) published the Principles for Financial Market Infrastructures (PFMI) as the international standard for financial market infrastructures. The standards are designed to ensure that the infrastructures supporting financial markets are better able to withstand disruption to the financial system stability.

In compliance with the Principle 23 - Disclosure of Rules, Key Procedures and Market Data, Bank Indonesia has published the Disclosure Framework for BI-SSSS on October 30, 2016, with reference to PFMI: Disclosure Framework and Assessment Methodology as published by CPMI-IOSCO in December 2012.
