The Law concerning Bank Indonesia No. 23/1999 demands accountabilities and transparencies in every implementation of duties, authorities and budget of Bank Indonesia. The principles of accountability and transparency, among others are applied by way of conveying information to public openly. In line with the era of public information openness/transparency, started with the post-enactment of Law No. 14 year 2008 concerning Public Information Transparency (KIP-Keterbukaan Informasi Publik), Bank Indonesia actively participates in the movement of information transparency.

Bank Indonesia also gives an opportunity for the entire society to get access to information through the website ( in accordance with the applicable Laws and regulations. The Public Information Service Menu constitutes a shortcut in the search of data and information as well as public services required by the public rapidly and easily.

The Right of every Person to get Information is also relevant in enhancing the quality of public involvement in the process of public decision making. Therefore, BI actively participates in providing Public Information Service (LIP- Layanan Informasi Publik) that can be utilized by the public to understand the functions and duties of BI as well as to find public information owned by BI, through:

  1. Bank Indonesia Information and Documentation Management Officers (PPID-Pejabat Pengelola Information dan Dokumentasi)
  2. BI Contact Center known as BICARA (BI CALL and InteRAction), consisted of Call Center BICARA 131 and Visitor Center.


1. Information and Documentation Management Officer

PPID BI was formed based on the mandate of Law No. 14 regarding Public Information Transparency (KIP). With the formation of PPID BI, requestors seeking information in accordance with their rights can obtain public information released by Bank Indonesia pursuant to the provisions stipulated in the Law No. 14 Year 2008. Request for BI Public Information

Requestors for information can obtain public information released by BI by following the applicable procedures.

To obtain information, is very simple and with various options:

  3. Fill out the information request form (Klik here).
  4. Send a letter according to the information request form Letters can be sent to the address of PPID BI or by fax. to: (021) 386 1458

Your request for Information will be responded within a maximum of 10 Working Days (HK-Hari Kerja). If required, it can be extended for another 7HK in accordance with the provisions in the Law on KIP.


2. Contact Center BICARA (Bank Indonesia Call and Interaction)
