COMMODITY PROFILE
Teak and mahogany furniture are of interests of many people and become exported commodities. Amongst the furniture group are table set, beds, cupboards, dressers, and kitchen sets. Teak wood is much more expensive compare with mahogany, therefore, the furniture made thereof is more valuable. Teak as raw material can be found in many regions in Indonesia, especially in Java, Southeast Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, West Sunda Islands, and Maluku. Teak and mahogany furniture are exported mainly to Japan, Taiwan, USA, Korea and Singapore.
