Means of transportation in Jakarta generally utilise land, cars, and commuter line train. The public transportation in Jakarta managed by the government are local trains and buses, and TransJakarta bus (the bus using special line with specific route). Busway is a mass transportation system using a special line which provides services for passengers who wish to arrive at the destination place quickly. TransJakarta bus is managed by PT Transportasi Jakarta operating 24 hours.
Bus TransJakarta line going to Museum BI is Blok M – Kota with the routes : Blok M – Jalan Jendral Sudirman – Senayan – Semanggi – Bendungan Hilir – Karet – Jl. M.H. Thamrin – Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI) – Monumen Nasional (Monas) – Harmoni – Jl. Gajah Mada – Jalan Hayam Wuruk – Glodok – Stasiun Kota. This bus is passing through some bus stops on Jl. Thamrin on which the recommended hotels are located (Grand Hyatt Hotel, Sari Pan Pacific Hotel and Grand Mercure Hotel). The last bus stop is Museum Bank Indonesia which is precisely located in the front of Museum Bank Indonesia.
